Pain is your body’s way of saying, “Slow down!” Avoid activities that aggravate your elbow. This might mean taking a break from sports or modifying your work tasks.
In the initial stages, rest is key. Reduce inflammation with ice packs applied for 15-20 minutes at a time, several times a day.
Consult a doctor or physical therapist for a diagnosis and personalized treatment plan. This might include exercises, stretches, or braces.
Gentle stretching improves flexibility and reduces pain. Ask your therapist for stretches targeting your forearms and elbow joints. Remember, active stretches are often better than static holds for elbow pain.
Once the pain subsides, strengthening exercises become crucial. These help rebuild damaged tissues and prevent future injuries. Light weights, resistance bands, or even a stress ball can be your tools.
